What's the matter with your bed? I... Admittedly haven't noticed anything off. [But his back's still killing him. That's normal though.]

Well, I guess - to be more specific... I prefer to sleep outside. I dunno what it is, but beds just can't beat nice, loamy dirt a while after a spot of rain... Long enough that it's not wet, but not so long it's all dry and dusty. It's soft...~

Anyway. Dirt, huh? Whatcha gonna do with it~?

[He can't hold back a little giggle, shifting the empty box aside to cover his mouth with a gloved hand. It sounds strange, coming from him. Like he's not sure how to do it.]

Like a little flower, aren't you? A little cecilia. And what bed does a flower prefer but a flowerbed...

I guess I've figured out where flowers go in fall.

[Speaking of... There's a set of drinking glasses sitting on one of the workbenches. Some are filled with dirt already.]

It's getting cold... likely too cold for even the altered plants I've planted around town to produce anything... so I'm preparing a round of saplings to grow without sun, over the winter. I know it's been done, and I know some of the theory behind it, so... this should work.

...I hope you don't mind if I clear some of the concrete down here—just enough for a fruit tree.
